Traffic - Arkansas state traffic laws apply on
LRAFB. Seat belts are mandatory. State, local, and base
officials can stop vehicles for suspected nonuse of seatbelts. Child
seats/restraints are mandatory for children under 40 lbs.
Vehicle
Registration Requirements - Personnel assigned to Little Rock AFB will be
required to register their vehicles within 30 days of assignment. This can be
accomplished through the Commander's Support Staff. Documents
required for registering your vehicle on base or renewing your vehicles include
a military or employment ID, current valid state vehicle registration, proof of
insurance, and a current valid driver's license. All privately owned
vehicles operated on base must be insured with a minimum of
5,000/$50,000/$15,000. A current license plate is required.
Your state
driver's license is valid in Arkansas providing it is current or if your state
has an extension. Family members are not exempt, they are required to
obtain an Arkansas driver's license within 30 days after arrival. New
motorcycle operators will immediately contact wing safety office to be scheduled
for the next motorcycle training class and obtain a pass to operate your
cycle. Mandatory wear of seat belts is required in Arkansas and on
Little Rock AFB. Vehicle operators are responsible for passengers and
will ensure child restraints are used. Headlights must be on when
windshield wipers are used during inclement weather. For more

Vehicle Checks - All vehicles entering
or leaving LRAFB are subject to search.
Accidents - Vehicle accidents
should be reported to the Security Police Desk Sergeant at (501)
987-3221.

Curfew - This applies to all individuals under the age of 18
living on base: Mon-Thurs, 2200-0500; Fri-Sat, 2400-0500; Sun,
2300-0500.
Home-alone policies - Leaving children alone on base - Little
Rock AFB base regulation says "no child under the age of 10 may be left
unsupervised on base, at home, in an automobile or in any base facility".
Regulation further states that "no child under age two will be left with a child
under age 12". Inappropriately leaving a minor unattended may
constitute the offense of endangering the welfare of a
