The primary mission of the Little Rock Clinic is to provide
peacetime healthcare to active duty personnel and ensure they are ready for
wartime deployments. Active duty members are the first priority of
medical services. They are entitled to receive complete
treatment.
The Little Rock AFB 314th Medical Operations
Squadron offers a variety of services ranging from healthcare to physical
therapy for TRICARE Prime patients assigned to the facility. TRICARE
Prime enrollees are the second priority. All other beneficiaries will
be treated on a space available basis. Space available appointments are defined
as a routine appointment that is open within 2 hours of the call. The
medical facility does not have inpatient capabilities and does not have patients
remain overnight in the facility. It is important to note that the
medical facility does not offer emergency medical care. Emergency
services are available at local civilian hospitals. Life threatening
conditions are stabilized for transport to local hospitals. When care
is unavailable on the installation, then services can be located out in the
local community.
The Little Rock area has extensive medical services
available. Please view the topic "Hospitals" in the community section
for detailed information.
Family members of military members must be
enrolled in the Defense Eligibility Enrollment Reporting System
(DEERS). If not, routine medical treatment can be
denied. Enrollment can be done at the Military Personnel Flight, Bldg
1255.
Upon reporting to their new duty station, active duty personnel
will report to the TRICARE Service Center to enroll for TRICARE Prime. The
TRICARE office is located in the clinic, Bldg. 1050. If family
members desire to enroll in TRICARE Prime, they must fill out an application at
the TRICARE Service Center.
The Dental Clinic serves the active-duty
population. Eligible family members are referred off-base - there are many
dentists who accept TRICARE Family Member Dental Plan. See the "Local
Community - Health Benefits/TRICARE" section for more
information.
