The New Parent Support Program (NPSP) provides support services
to military families by facilitating healthy family functioning, increasing
parenting skills and knowledge of infant growth and development, and assisting
young families in developing social support within their
community. The NPSP helps families cope with stress, isolation,
post-deployment reunions and the everyday demands of
parenthood. Services include Education about Pregnancy; Birth &
Parenting; Home consultations; Videos & Literature; and Information and
Referral.
Fleet and Family Support Centers offer a variety of parenting
programs and can offer information on a variety of local community resources.
