Texas State traffic laws apply on Laughlin AFB. All motor vehicle operators are required to have in their possession a valid state driver's license, proof of insurance and vehicle registration. Operators are also required to register their vehicle within 14 days of their arrival at the Security Forces Pass and I.D. section located in Building 139.
Documents needed to complete base registration:
* State vehicle registration
* Driver's License
* Proof of Insurance
* Government ID Card
For registration of motorcycles, the aforementioned documents must be provided as well as a motorcycle endorsement on the driver's license and a certificate of completion from an approved motorcycle safety course.
Drivers are reminded that any vehicle entering, exiting or while on Laughlin AFB are subject to search.
