1) All privately owned motor vehicles on board NAES must be
currently registered with a state motor vehicle agency.
2) All persons
operating any form of motor vehicle must possess a valid state drivers license.
If you believe that your issuing state grants a military extension of the
license expiration, you should verify this with the individual state motor
vehicle bureau, the NAES Pass & ID
Office, or the NAES Police Desk.
3) Motorcycle operators must pass a motorcycle safety course as taught
by the Ocean County Vocational Technical School. Additionally, all riders must
wear a reflective vest or brightly colored clothing, dot approved helmet with
adequate eye protection, full fingered gloves, thick soled footwear, long pants
and long sleeved shirt.
4) New Jersey military personnel returning from
overseas are granted a 30 day period to renew their state drivers license and
vehicle registration.
5) All occupants of a vehicle must be seat
belted.
6) All children under the age of five must be secured in a child
restraint seat that is located in the back seat area of a vehicle.
7)
Cell phones may not be used by the driver of a vehicle in motion.
8)
Radar detectors are not permitted on board any military installation.
