The Readiness NCO, at the Family Support Center, provides
information and support for concerns that occur when military members are on
TDY, alert, or a remote assignment. They ensure that the military
member and the family are supported during the military member's deployment.
Briefings are available for deploying and returning members and their families
on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 1000 and 1400 and on Thursdays at 1700 by
appointment.
The Readiness program, also known as Hearts
Apart, provides a monthly support group for spouses or parents and a craft
activity for children on the first Saturday of every month, an Arcade Night for
families the fourth Friday of every month, and other special monthly outings
such as roller skating, trips to the zoo, local science museum, and other fun
activities. The program also provides registered personnel a morale
telephone call program in which the spouse or parent may place up to 60 minutes
worth of telephone calls every week to the deployed member. Video telephone
capability is also possible for some deployed locations. We also host
an annual Thanksgiving Dinner and Children's Holiday Party.
