The Kirtland Education Office is an official DANTES Testing
Center. Appointments may be made in person or by telephone, at least
one day in advance. Tests not in stock must be ordered at least four
weeks in advance. Special tests (i.e.,SAT,GRE,NTE/PRAXIS) are scheduled on
special dates and times as required. Appointments must be made in
accordance with specific announcements in the base media. The GED
exam is not given at Kirtland. Please contact the State Department of
Education or Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute (TVI) for
information. Most tests are free to active duty, Reserve, and Guard
personnel. Some tests are accessible to military family members, DoD
civilians and others on a space-available, self-pay basis.
