New Parent Support is a program for military families who are expecting; have a new baby, or are in need of parenting information.  It is designed to empower expectant and new parents to meet the challenges of parenthood and Navy life.  The NPS program is located at Naval Station Ingleside but provides support services at NAS Kingsville on a regular basis.  The NPS team provides the following classes at NAS Kingsville's Fleet & Family Support Center:  Baby on the Way (first trimester); Baby Basics (caring for your newborn); Breastfeeding Techniques; and Lamaze (birth and beginnings).  All classes are free but require registration through the NAS Kingsville Fleet & Family Support Center by calling (361) 516-6333, DSN 876-6333.

The NASK Fleet & Family Support Center has parenting materials, "The BabyCare" home videos and Heartbeat Music Therapy CDs and tapes for checkout.
