Babysitting on Base:
Youth must be 13 years
old and be Red Cross Certified. Per NASKWINST 11101.24D, page 5
paragraph 4. To obtain the certification required contact the
American Red Cross at 305-296-4033 to register for the one day Babysitting
Course at a cost of $25.00. The MWR Boys and Girls Club is open to
children ages 5 to 18 and provides recreational activities.
IMPORTANT
INFORMAITON ABOUT ROLLER SKATES/BLADES AND SKATEBOARDS: When skating
you must wear approved American National Standards Institute type bicycle
helmets, knee and elbow pads at all times. Skaters are to yield to
others who are not using skates. You cannot be towed by a vehicle or
cycle. Skaters must not push babies in strollers or wear headphones
for safety reasons. Skating is allowed between the hours of sunrise
and sunset, on the sidewalks or on the left side of the roadway facing traffic
in the following areas:
Medical Clinic and Flemming Key - After 1600
hours and weekends only; Trumbo and Truman - Housing areas; Boca Chica
- Intersection of Saratoga and Midway to the Communication
Center. All other areas are OFF LIMITS. Sigsbee Park - Housing
Areas. Exchange and Commissary after hours only. Sigsbee
Elementary School only when accompanied by an adult. Peary Court -
