There are several malls in Biloxi, Gautier and Gulfport, Mississippi. There are three Shoppping Outlet Centers: one in Gulfport (about 25 miles from the base), a second one in Foley Al, (approximately 120 miles) and Slidell, LA (approximately 60 miles).
There are Walmarts, K-Marts and numerous large Grocery chains (Winn Dixie) across the coast.
Mobile (AL), Slidell (LA), and New Orleans are approximately one hour from the base and offer several large shopping centers.
Since we sit on the Gulf of Mexico. Our local resturants provide wonderful fresh seafood. However, due to Hurricane Katrina many of the Mississippi Gulf Coast restaurants and dining establishments have temporarily suspended operations. Please be sure to call each restaurant for status before visiting.
There are 22 Casino's along the Gulf Coast. All of which host numerous popular buffets and have many speciality resturants in their facilities.
