Force Personnel Center (AFPC) in San Antonio, TX. To apply and be
considered for Keesler AFB vacancies, a person must may submit a resume' on-line
to AFPC or via hard-copy mail. This resume' will be maintained on file at AFPC.
It is strongly encouraged that you get a copy of the Air Force Job Kit in
advance of inputting your resume' on-line, so that you are prepared for all the

procedures outlined in the Job Kit at the AFPC web site.
Military spouse
preference provides priority in the employment selection process for military
spouses who are relocating as a result of their military member's
PCS. Those interested in federal employment should use the Air Force
Job Kit to complete a federal resume' and use it as a starting point for resumes
for other military service branches or federal agencies, which have their own
applications and processes. Review usajobs.opm.gov for the variety of
positions in the Gulf Coast area.
External Applicants: If you are seeking
employment at Keesler AFB and are not currently a permanent federal service
employee, this information is important to you. The vacancy announcements
recruiting external candidates describe specific application procedures that
pertain to locally managed vacancies or to those vacancies managed by AFPC. AFPC
requires resumes to be formatted in a specific way.
The AFPC has
developed a Job Kit that can assist you in applying for vacancies. Please read
and use the information contained therein to gain an understanding on how the
new employment procedures work and how you may submit a resume for employment
consideration. It takes approximately 7 days for a newly-input
resume' to be used for self-nomination for open positions, so prepare your
document early, then revise it according to the specific job
announcement.
You may also submit an application or resume to the Keesler
AFB Civilian Personnel Flight ONLY for locally managed applicant registers, such
as temporary (such as summer lifeguards,) term appointments or the
Stay-in-School program.
