When moving from base to base, make sure to hand-carry your
customized SITES booklet and take information with you in case you have
trouble! Also, take medical and personnel records, passports &
Social Security cards, shot records, birth certificates & marriage
certificates, spouse employment documents and references, children's school
records,and household goods inventory list.
If married, ensure your
spouse has a copy of orders and appropriate Powers of Attorney to accomplish
settling-in tasks! Make sure a relative (spouse, parents, fiance,
brother, sister, etc.) or friend knows your full name, SSAN, unit, and arrival
plans.
In case of any emergency for personnel based at Keesler, contact
your duty squadron commander or first sergeant; other agencies which can help
you en route are the Red Cross, other nearby military bases (even Guard or
Reserves); Salvation Army, and other community agencies.
