Kalaheo High School (grades 9 & 12) is the Windward District public schools  for those students residing in housing aboard MCBH, Kaneohe Bay.

A GEOGRAPHIC EXCEPTION may be requested for a student to attend another school for special reasons, such as obtaining courses not offered in the student's home school.

Requests for a geographic exception should be initiated by the student's home school and must be approved by the principals of both the home and receiving school.  Denial of a request for geographic exception may be appealed to the District Superintendent.

This secondary school, which is located closest to the base, participates in a Youth Sponsorship Program.

This school enrolls many military dependents with all kinds of insights about "life in paradise" who are anxious to correspond with students of the same grade levels who will soon be stationed at MCBH.
