The Employment Assistance Program at the Family Support Center (808) 449-0300 provides the resources and services to assist with your job search. The primary resource for job referrals is through the Joint Employment Management System (JEMS) computerized job bank.
JEMS has been serving the military community since 1986 and is funded by the joint efforts of the Air Force, Coast Guard, Marines, and Navy. The job bank is exclusively for use by these participating military services.
Password authorization for the JEMS Job Bank on Internet is given to eligible job seekers who attend the Looking for Employment in Hawai'i workshop offered twice a month at the Hickam Airman and Family Readiness Flight. There is absolutely NO CHARGE to use JEMS Job Bank. Job referrals from over 3,000 companies, from entry level to professional positions, are available. JEMS also sponsors an annual job fair and hosts the Department of Education recruitment seminars in June and November.
The EAP also provides job seekers (spouses) with:
