Report to your unit Commander's Support Staff (CSS) immediately upon your arrival or on the next working day for your squadron's in-processing checklist and the base In-processing Apppointment Letter.
You will be required to attend the Mass Inprocessing and Ohana Aloha Briefing. Your CSS will call the MPF and AFRF to schedule your inprocessing appointments.
Mass In-processing
Mass In-processing is usually held every Wednesday from 8:00 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. You will receive briefings from the Military Personnel Flight, OPSEC, the Medical Group, and MEO. Finance is now a separate briefing that your CSS will need to be schedule.
Ohana Aloha Brief
The Ohana Aloha Brief is scheduled bi-monthly at the Community Center. When you sign in for the day, you will have the option to sign up for the cultural bus trip that happens two days after the Ohana Aloha Briefing. This is an excellent opportunity for you and your family to tour the island in an air conditioned luxury bus. The Ohana Aloha Brief begins with a multitude of base agencies participating in a booth fair. This is a great opportunity to visit the various base agencies and ask questions. After visiting the booths, you will be welcomed by the Wing Commander who is followed by other base agencies who are able to provide you with great information.
Housing
It is critical that you make an appointment with the Housing office to initiate your authorized entitlements. Call the Hickam Housing office at 808-448-6550 or DSN 315-448-6550 to schedule a housing appointment prior to your arrival on island for the day of (or the next duty day of) your arrival. Walk-ins may be turned away and asked to make an appointment for a later time!!
