The New Parent Support Program Calendar of Events:

"Nurturing Parenting Classes" Parenting classes in your own home by appointment.

Parent/Child Playgroups: Thursdays 1000-1100, Forrestal Village Chapel Nursery Annex.

"Welcome to Pregnancy": For women in the 1st trimester of pregnancy. Monthly, second Wednesday, 1330-1530, FFSC Classroom 1, October 11, November 8 and December 13.

"Prepared Child Birth Classes": 6 session class to learn about the labor and childbirth process, writing birth plans, bonding with your baby and coming home with your baby. Morning classes: Wednesday, 0900-1100, starting November 1.

Afternoon classes: Monday, 1400-1600, starting November 6.

"Sibling Class" is a one hour session for brothers and sisters who will soon have a new baby in their home. This class is for children ages 18 months to 6 years. Call FFSC for more information.

Other classes that will be offered by appointment or special request include the following:
"Infant Care for New Parents" is a two hour class for parents of new babies and covers the topics of holding, feeding, calming, and bathing a new baby.

"Breastfeeding Support Class" is a two hour class for mothers to learn about breastfeeding, techniques for breastfeeding, how to handle breastfeeding problems, how to breastfeed after returning to work and then how to wean the baby.

"Active Duty and Pregnant" is a two hour class addressing the special needs of the pregnant active duty service woman as she juggles her military job and family needs.
