Educational programs are offered for new parents as well as
experienced parents at Grand Forks AFB. Contact any of the following
agencies listed in the record listing for more information.
Family
Advocacy offers classes for parents of toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age
children ages 5 - 19. Classes are also offered on subjects such as relationship
enhancement and self-esteem. Classes on basic infant and toddler child
development milestones and norms and 2nd and 3rd trimester classes for expectant
parents are also offered.
The Family Support Center offers day and night
seminars in Building Strong Families starting in November 2005. These seminars
will help to connect families stressed with the heavy weight of deployments on
the military at this time.
More family seminars will be offered during the

lifestyle.
Family Advocacy Groups include; Play Groups; Moms, Pops, &
Tots for ages 1-5 and Baby & Me for ages 0-12 months.
The New Parent
Support Program (NPSP) taught by a Registered Nurse who provides classes, groups
and home visits.
