When military families arrive at Fort Wainwright and find that
on-post housing will not be available within sixty (60) days. They are briefed
on locating a rental unit in the local community.
There are
many resources, both government and private to assist you in locating a rental
or purchase of your own home, should you desire.
The Government CHRRS
office is located in building 3401. The PTP coordinator is located in
the same building. Both of these offices can assist you with housing
allowances, the Alaska Landlord Tenant Law, available housing, information on
Schools, specific rental information and points of contact and any other
questions or concerns you may have.
Many of the local realtors can assist
with rentals or the purchase of your own home. Many web sites are
