The Army Career and Alumni Program (ACAP) is the Army's premiere
transition program designed to assist soldiers, Department of the Army
civilians, and their eligible family members as they leave active duty for the
civilian job market. ACAP provides transition benefits counseling and job
service assistance to all soldiers between 180 days but not later than 90 days
prior to separation.
The services that ACAP provides include mandatory
pre-separation counseling, job search workshops, interactive computer-based job
assistance training, individual counseling as well as hosting numerous employer
recruitment visits. Twice a year ACAP sponsors two large Job Fairs, usually in
the Spring and Fall.
