The "Personally Procured Moves" program is offered to active duty
members as an alternate method of moving their household
goods. Participation in this program is voluntary. As an
incentive, you would be paid 95% of what the government would have paid a
commercial mover to move the goods. In addition, it must be
authorized in advance of the actual movement by the Transportation
Office. The move may be accomplished by using a POV, trailer, or
rental service. In all cases utilizing a POV, the service member must
provide POV registration to the transportation office at the time of the
counseling. If prior approval is not received, you may not be
eligible for any incentive pay.
