There are 2 four-year colleges/universities in the area where one
may pursue undergraduate and graduate level courses leading toward Associate,
Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. There are 2 community colleges in
the area offering variety of classes leading to an associate's degree or
certificates in different areas.

Fort Rucker's Army Education Center offers a variety of
services including; inprocessing/ outprocessing; counseling; tuition assistance;
scholarship information; testing (college admission, certificate exams,
correspondence); Defense Activity for Non- Traditional Education Support
(DANTES); Service members Opportunity College Associate Degree (SOCAD); Bachelor
Degrees for Soldiers (BDFS); and college catalogs; The Education

Troy
University-Dothan conducts five terms per year on post. They offer
undergraduate and graduate courses each term. Students can complete
Associate, Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in several areas on-post in the
evenings. The Bachelor of Applied Science program uses
non-traditional credits to complete a field of specialization in several
areas. Credit may be granted for military experience based on service
schools or MOS's (Army) or equivalent ratings. Military credit will
be evaluated according to the recommendations of the American Council on
Education (ACE Guide). Troy University-Dothan is a member of the
Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges and participates in both SOCAD-2 and
SOCAD-4. The Administrative Offices and classrooms are located on
Fort Rucker and assistance is provided in academic counseling, selection of
programs, completion of veteran's administration forms, course registration, and

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical
University, offers both on-post and distance learning courses leading to a
Master of Science, Bachelor of Science, or Associate of Science
degree. Degree programs offered include a Master of Aeronautical
Science, a Master of Business Administration in Aviation, as well as a Bachelor
of Science degree in Aviation Maintenance Management, Associate and Bachelor of
Science Degrees in Professional Aeronautics and Technical
Management. They also offer certificate programs in Aviation Safety,
Logistics, Occupational Safety and Health, Supply Chain Management and Aviation
Maintenance Technology Type 65. The courses in the Aviation
Maintenance Technology program can be used to prepare for the FAA Airframe and
Powerplant (A&P) testing process. Embry-Riddle will pay for all
oral, written, and practical exams upon completion of the University's
maintenance series and successfully passing the exam. For more

Enterprise Ozark Community College offers classes at
the Enterprise and Ozark Campuses, as well as, the Fort Rucker
site. At Fort Rucker, classes are taught during the noon hour, at
night and on weekends. Students may earn an Associate of Art or an
Associate of Science degree. GED classes and English as a Second
Language are offered free of charge. All classes are held in Building
4502. SOCAD agreements are also available. For more

Wallace Community College
Founded in 1949, Wallace
Community College was one of the first two-year colleges established in the
state of Alabama. With convenient locations in Dothan, Eufaula, and
Fort Rucker, the College offers a wide array of educational and career training
opportunities. Flexible scheduling and reasonable tuition make
Wallace an attractive opportunity for local constituents to further their
education and improve skills. Students may choose to complete
academic coursework, which is transferable to a 4-year institution, or to
complete a technical program. Degree options include the associate in
arts, associate in science, and associate in applied science
degrees. Certificates and short certificates are also available in
certain programs. Many core curriculum courses may be completed
on-line through the College's distance learning program.
Although Wallace
offers a wide array of career/technical programs, the College is recognized
across the nation for its impressive allied health and nursing
programs. In fact, Wallace leads the state's two-year colleges in the
number of allied health and nursing graduates and in the number of continuing
education credits awarded to healthcare providers.
Wallace
also offers a number of programs specifically designed to build and improve the
local workforce. The WCC Center for Economic and Workforce
Development houses short-term programs to train workers with those skills and
attitudes necessary for success on the job. These programs include
Focused Industry Training (F.I.T.), WorkKeys testing services, Understanding
Today's Workplace, and a number of adult education
