All Child & Youth Services (CYS) childcare programs may be used by children ages 4 weeks through 12 years old of military and DOD civilians. Programs are offered for 6 weeks to kindergarten-age at the Child Development Center (CDC), building 8938. These include full-day, part-day preschool, before/after school and hourly child care.  The School/Age Services (SAS) program at Youth Services, building 2806, provides after school care and full day care during school recess periods. SAS experience provides children with positive individual and group activities with adults and peers that compliment rather than duplicate the school day, through educational and recreational activities which support the children's needs.

The framework for the School-Age Program includes the following areas:  Sports and Fitness, Leisure and Recreation, Life Skills and Citizenship and Mentoring and Support.  Balanced mixes of recreational, educational, and social activities are planned for the children.  Activities may include:  skating, bowling, arts and crafts, cooking, short local field trips, summer swimming, and day long field trips during school holidays.  Transportation to and from school is provided by Fort Rucker and Daleville Schools.

The School Age Services (SAS) Program at the CDC and Youth Services provides services before and after school, during holidays, and the summer.  Children from 2nd grade through age 10 receive after school SAS at the Youth Center.  Care for pre-K and kindergarten children is provided at the Child Development Center.  SAS provides children experience positive individual and group activities with adults and peers that compliment rather than duplicate the school day, through educational and recreational activities which support the children's needs.
