ARMY CONTINUING EDUCATION SYSTEM (ACES)
ARMY EDUCATION
CENTER:
The Fort Rucker Army Education Center has a variety of programs to
support service members and their dependents. The Education Center
offers tuition assistance, scholarship information, and other services, such
as:
Career and Education
Counseling. The counselors provide information on academic
institutions, AARTS transcripts, Basic Skills Education Program, DANTES distance
learning programs, Pell Grant, Green to Gold Program, West Point Preparatory
Academy, Montgomery GI Bill, and Servicemembers Opportunity College (for
military, spouses, and adult family members).
Comprehensive testing service. CLEP, DSST, ACT, SAT, Test of Adult
Basic Education, Alternate Flight Aptitude Skills Test, Defense Language
Proficiency Test, Defense Language Aptitude Batter, Armed Forces Classification
Test, and certification tests for selected occupations, etc.
ARMY
CONTINUING EDUCATION SYSTEM (ACES) LEARNING CENTER COMPUTER LAB:
The ACES
Learning Center Computer Lab services are available to active duty military,
DAC, and their adult family members. Services
include:
Individualized Tutoring. A
tutor will assist service members by providing remedial/refresher instruction in
math, reading, communications/language and Armed Forces Classification Test
preparation to service member using resources in the Learning
Center.
College Credit. Various
continuing educational experiences can be accessed with the new Army eLearning
System. The Learning Center is an army.mil site for registering and
accessing AKO, Smart Force, Army eLearning, CBT and Correspondence
Courses. The courses accessed can carry promotion points or American
Council on Education college credit. Once registered, the student can
access the courses over the Internet at home or at the Learning
Center.
Computer Software Training
Courses: Self-paced courses are offered for Word 2000, Excel
2000, PowerPoint 2000, and Access 97/2000. Upon
completion, students will receive a Certificate.
Foreign Languages. Interactive multimedia are available in CD ROMs in
Spanish, German, Korean, French, and many other
languages.

AVIATION
LEARNING CENTER:
The Aviation Learning Center is an Army Learning Center that
supports in-resident training programs with individual MOS instructor
aid. Services include:

AVIATION TECHNICAL LIBRARY:
The Aviation Technical
Library is a mission support activity serving all USAAVNC, military and civilian
personnel for job-related information needs. The Library supports all
professional development courses offered at Fort Rucker and serves Army Aviation
personnel Worldwide. Military personnel receiving tuition support
receive reference and research support. The general public may use
all unclassified, unlimited materials in-house, subject to noninterference with
USAAVNC patrons and priorities imposed by the local
commander. Services
