also known as Entrance Road ACP 1.
DBIDS: A personnel access
verification system networking to a central database to all ACCESS CONTROL
POINTS, FORT POLK WELCOME CENTER, CENTRAL IN & OUT PROCESSSING, and the MP
STATION. This system IMMEDIATELY ALERTS OFFICERS if that person is
authorized access to the installation.

***CHILD SAFETY BELT LAWS: Violation of
the safety belt law was changed from a SECONDARY to a PRIMARY OFFENSE as a
result of the growing number of motor vehicle crash
fatalities. Offenses for not wearing a seat belt include a $25.00
FINE ON 1ST OFFENSE, $50.00 FOR 2ND OFFENSE and $50.00 + COURT COSTS on the 3RD
OFFENSE.
***LOUD NOISE ABATEMENT LAW: THE STATE OF
LOUISIANA AND JRTC AND FORT POLK DOES ENFORCE THE NOISE ABATEMENT LAW----1ST
OFFENSE = $150.00---2ND OFFENSE = $500.00, ETC. If you have received
a ticket from another state prior to receiving one from Louisiana or JRTC &
FORT POLK, the one prior to the issuance of the one from Louisiana/JRTC &
Fort Polk will count as the 2ND OFFENSE ($500)**LOUD NOISE FROM A VEHICLE =
WITHIN 10 FEET IS ENFORCED. LOUD NOISE FROM A RESIDENCE = 50 FEET IS
ENFORCED, (IF AFTER HOURS:usually 9-12 pm, could result in higher ticket
price)
***WEAPONS REGISTRATION: All personnel residing on post
must register their privately owned weapons within three working
days. A weapon is defined as all firearms, pellet guns,
BB guns, knives with blades in excess of 3.5 inches, and archery
bows. **Items such as switchblade knives, chinese fighting
instruments (throwing stars, nunchakus), and explosive devices are
prohibited.** For registration each applicant must submit the make,
model, caliber, and barrel length of each weapon. The actual weapon
need not be brought in. Individuals residing in family housing may
retain their weapons in their quarters after registration. Residents
of troop billets MUST store their weapons in their UNIT ARMS
ROOM.
***CURFEW FOR YOUTH: There is a curfew on the
installation for youth who have not attained their 18th birthday and not
enlisted in the military service: 1. Sunday through Thursday: 10 PM until 6
AM; 2. Friday and Saturday: Beginning morning at 12 AM
until 6 AM; 3. Holidays: Preceding a weekend or other holiday, 12 AM
to 6 AM.
*** Louisiana State Law: requires motorists to pull over as far
to the side of the road as possible and stop whenever an emergency vehicle is in
sight. This rule applies to any type of an emergency vehicle - police
car, fire truck or ambulance - and applies to both lanes (meaning a motorist has
to yield to emergency vehicles coming from either lane on undivided streets or
