The primary emphasis of the Army Community Service Family
Advocacy Program is the prevention and education of child abuse/neglect and
spouse abuse. The Family Advocacy Program has a special mission to
promote and support the foundations of family well being. We are here
to help all families find positive ways to build family strengths. We
accomplish this by public awareness and community education, and linking family
needs to family supports, in partnership with commanders and unit leaders, all
an integral part of the Army Community Service team. Every parent has
to keep growing if they want to keep up with their children's
needs. Taking personal responsibility is an Army
tradition. The Family Advocacy Program is here to help guide you to
programs that build personal and family strengths such as: parent
education classes, support groups, new parent support (nurturing program, first
steps, don't shake the baby), parent aides and home visitors, stress management,
anger control, type A management, work and home stress management, change
management, and S.A.V.E. - Stop Anger and Violence Escalation.
