Army Community Service supports deployments of active duty,
reserve component, national guard, and military civilians. Deployment
involves separation, when the service member or civilian member goes on a tour
of duty and family members are left behind. Available training
includes pre-deployment briefings, coping with separation, establishing a Family
Readiness Group, Unit Rear Detachments, Homecoming and Reunions, and a Family
Assistance Center. This training is offered through Operation READY
(Resources for Education About Deployment and You).
