The ACS Deployment Readiness Program provides support before
deployment, while the soldier is away, with reunions, and by assisting Family
Readiness Groups and Rear Detachment Commanders. Family Readiness
Groups help to create a climate of mutual support within Army units and the
community. Knowledge of that support results in soldiers who are
mentally and emotionally present during combat and training, able to concentrate
fully on the mission.
