POV IN-BOUND SHIPMENTS

When picking up your POV, you will need copies of your orders, picture ID and Form 788.  If someone other than the service member will be picking up the vehicle, they will need a picture ID (preferably Drivers License), Power of Attorney from the service member and Form 788.  Please see contacts/links and address all other questions to the St. Louis Vehicle Processing Center (VPC).

POV OUTBOUND SHIPMENTS

When shipping your vehicle overseas, you will need to wash and vacuum your vehicle and remove all personal belongings.  You will need six (6) copies of your PCS orders and the Registration or Title to the vehicle.  If the service member's name is different on the orders than on the registration, you will also need a marriage certificate or divorce decree.  You will also need a picture ID and extra keys.  You can ship in your vehicle a car seat, stroller, playpen, extra hoses, and up to $200 in tools in your vehicle but no flammable liquids.

POV CLAIMS

When shipping your car, you will be given a packet of information, including a claim form for any damages that might occur during the shipment.  Follow the instructions on the claim form.  When you pick up your vehicle, address any questions or concerns with regard to damage to the Claims Section of the Staff Judge Advocate's office at your gaining installation.
