Fort Leavenworth is a very active community. There is never a
shortage of activities for either adults or children. Likewise, there are a
number of ways to learn about the many installation activities. Notices are
placed at the Front Gate, on electronic billboards, and in the LAMP (the post
newspaper). Channel 2 on post cable service will keep you informed of the
numerous events happening both on and off
post.

POST ACTIVITIES INFORMATION and REGISTRATION DAY, known
as PAIR DAY is the big SIGN UP day at Fort Leavenworth. This is a one-stop-shop
opportunity to sign up for family and individual activities. PAIR DAY
is an event where various activities on and off post are consolidated at the
airfield for individuals to sign up or register for the activity desired. Please
call 684-2800 for this year's date. Activities such as Youth Sports,
Scouts, Swim Team, Arts and Crafts, music, swimming, flying club, dancing,
bowling, skeet, rod and gun club, fox hunt, martial arts, choir, horseback
riding, college courses, USDB services, Army Family Team Building, Army
Community Service Volunteer sign ups etc. Youth groups at Chapels, volunteer
work etc. Information on PAIR Day is on Channel 2 for post residents, the post
newspaper LAMP, the front gate sign board.

Fort Leavenworth has been honored as a
Community of Excellence and during your stay you will have many opportunities to
visit amusements, attractions, museums, theaters, parks and lakes, Zoos and many
restaurants that cater to kids. The Arts, Crafts and Tickets Office located on
Stimson Ave. has hundreds of brochures with information on day trips, weekend

Fort Leavenworth also offers
numerous opportunities for worship and extensive religious activities at Fort
Leavenworth nurture faith and fellowship. The Collective Protestant
Congregation, the Collective Protestant Gospel Congregation, and Saint Ignatius
Parish provide worship services and Masses, as well as, religious education,
weekday men, women, and youth groups, and choirs. Lutheran and
Episcopal worship meets weekly. Jewish worship is conducted
monthly. A Muslim prayer room is located in Bell Hall. For
