All service members seeking off post housing are required to
register with the CHRRS Office (Community Homefinding Relocation
Referral Services) in Building 1383 prior to entering into any lease
agreement.
If you choose to live off post, there is ample
housing available. There are one, two bedroom apartments, duplexes
and townhouses for rent. There is adequate three bedroom houses,
duplexes, and some townhouses. There is a good selection of real estate
companies in the area to help with your rental and or purchasing
needs.
If pets are allowed in rental property, expect to pay a pet
deposit, which refundable if no damage is done, or a pet fee (for the priviledge
of having a pet on the property) which may not be refundable. Prices
range from between $50 to $200.
If you are going to rent off post, it is
wise to obtain renter's insurance.
