NOTE: If you are interested in teaching in the
Commonwealth of Kentucky, you must have received your Masters Degree within ten
years of the date of your Bachelors Degree.
There is a large industrial
park in Elizabethtown. If you are moving here to retire this would be
a very good area in which to look. It may take you a while to become
permanent but if you are young enough to work several more years it would be
worth your investment of time. The salary and benefits are good. The
local employment office will have information on hiring
procedures.
There is a large Ford Motor Company plant in
Louisville and there is a Toyota plant in Georgetown, Kentucky, which is near
Lexington (approximately 2 hours from here).
UPS has had a major
expansion in Louisville and they offer excellent educational benefits for
college students.
