RELOCATION ASSISTANCE - The Army Community Service Relocation Program conducts mandatory Newcomer Orientation/Tours for 01-03 and E7 and below every Tuesday of each month from 0900-1630 at ACS. However, it is open to all newcomers, regardless of rank.  We highly recommend this to TDY status soldiers and family members (i.e., ANCOC, AOBC, ACCC).  Family members are encouraged to attend. This is an opportunity to meet the Post Command Sergeant Major, MEDDAC AND DENTAC Commands, while gaining valuable information about Fort Knox.  There is also a mandatory Financial Management Workshop for E-4 and below every Wednesday of each month from 0800-1630. Soldiers must attend within first 30 days at Fort Knox. For additional information or questions, contact the Relocation Program at (502) 624-6291.  For those needing household items (i.e., pots, pans, kitchen utensils, etc.) the Relocation Loan Closet is available Monday through Friday, 0730-1130 & 1230-1630 to sign for these items.

CRITICAL INSTALLATION INFORMATION - REGULATIONS AND LAWS: Note that there is a Seat Belt Law in Kentucky and on Fort Knox (includes passengers) and a requirement for child restraint seats for children 40 inches and under.  This is strictly enforced. It is the responsibility of the soldier to provide a car seat that is in good and fully functional condition. If you do not have a car seat, the ACS Relocation Loan Closet may loan you a car seat with a set of your orders.

You must register your privately owned weapon on post within 72 hours of arrival.  Military Police are available 24 hours a day to assist you with this process (call 624-2111/2112).
