If you should be deployed while assigned at Fort Knox, aside from your unit FRG, there is the ACS Waiting Families Program.  This program is designed to provide your family member with great information, a support network consisting of other waiting families, and to ensure they feel just as important as when you were here. An assigned Waiting Spouse Consultant will be contacting your family at minimum monthly to provide information.  ACS offers plenty of creative ways and training to keep your family occupied should you leave.

The Mobilization & Deployment Readiness Program conducts training for you and your family members using the Operation R.E.A.D.Y. modules.  Their assistance is before, during and after deployment.  We also encourage you to get involved with your unit Family Readiness Group right away.

If you are PCSing on a hardship or unaccompanied tour out of Fort Knox and have approval to leave your family member in government housing here, we highly encourage you to contact the ACS Waiting Families program.  If your family will be residing off-post during the separation, contact and let us know so that we may able to reach out to them as well. If you need assistance, call 624-6291.
