The Marine Corps Logistics Base is located about four miles from
Barstow, off Interstate 40. As many Army families will reside in
Barstow for at least a short period of time, it is suggested that you also view
the MCLB SITES material.
Fort Irwin has approximately 182 families living
in housing located on the Marine Corps Logistics Base. Requests by
Army families to apply for housing at the Marine Base are handled by the Fort
Irwin Family Housing Office. If you accept housing on the Marine Corps Base, ask
if you can move onto Fort Irwin when housing becomes available on
post.
MCLB has two separate areas, one off I-15, the other off
I-40. I-40 is where the Commissary, PX, and housing is located.
