The majority of the high school children residing on Fort
Hamilton attend Fort Hamilton High School. One of the best schools in Brooklyn,
Fort Hamilton High boasts a thorough academic program as well as numerous
extra-curricular activities. While Fort Hamilton is a very large
school with over 4500 students, its environment creates the sense of being in a
hometown school. There is not yellow bus service to Fort Hamilton
High. Students may either walk or take the city bus to and from
school. Bus passes are provided from the school and may be used for
transportation to and from school. While Fort Hamilton isn't the only
choice for high school students in the City, it is the one that the majority of
our students attend. Students who wish to pursue specific interests
such as music, business, or science, may be interested in applying for one of
the Specialized High Schools in the City. Information concerning
