Children attending school in New York City are enrolled in their
zoned school. This typically means that your choice of schools is based on your
residential address. Children who reside on Fort Hamilton are zoned
for PS 104, Fort Hamilton School. PS 104 is a unique school in New
York City as it is one of the few schools that are Kindergarten through 8th
Grade. PS 104 is one of the Chancellor's Top Performing Schools in
the City.
Bus service is provided through the sixth
grade. Older children may walk, use public transportation at a

Shot records are required for all children
attending public and private school in the New York area.It is strongly
suggested that you obtain your child's school records and hand carry them to the
new school he/she will be attending. If it is not possible to obtain
your child's records the public school or private school's administrative office
will obtain them.
If you are residing on the Fort Hamilton Military
Installation a letter-proving residency is required from our GMH Housing
Office. There are many private schools, some within walking distance
from the installation. Prices range from $7,000 to $20,000 per year.
