The CSRA has two shelters to assist victims of
abuse.

SafeHomes of Augusta offer each victim safety and refuge in a home with
24-hour staffing, security and special police attention. A
supportive, non-judgmental environment, Advocacy, an onsite attorney, an onsite
certified counselor, classes, an Outreach Program are a few of the services
available. Also, an extensive referral system provides access to lawyers,
doctors, counselors, job training professionals, and Social Services
agencies. SafeHomes provide assistance regardless of ones financial
situation.

CAAP is a private, non-profit United Way Agency
located in Aiken, SC. CAAP provides free and confidential 24-hour
emergency services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. In
addition, the agency offers crisis and intervention counseling, temporary
emergency shelter, advocacy within the legal system, referrals to social service
agencies and long-term counseling, support groups, emotional support and
community and professional outreach education programs and speakers.
