The phrase "shop till you drop" takes a new meaning in New
Jersey. There are numerous malls, shopping centers, outlet stores,
home improvement centers, and farmers markets in the Delaware
Valley.
In addition to malls, South Jersey, in line with its
diverse character, has a number of shopping "personalities."
These
include neighborhood shopping centers, and many popular flea
markets. South Jersey shoppers love to find a bargain, and both
outdoor and indoor flea markets offer an inexpensive way to find large ticket
items as well as smaller trinkets.
There is a 6% state sales
tax. No taxes on food or clothing.
