The Army recognizes the many sacrifices you have made and
continue to make for your country by supporting your soldier
member. You may have given up educational and career opportunities to
follow your spouse to the next assignment. Perhaps you have never
been settled in one place long enough to pursue your educational and career
goals. In partnership with the Pikes Peak Workforce Center, the ACS
Employment Readiness program has the resources to help you expand your skills so
that you can pursue a career ladder or path. If qualified, you will
gain the skills you need!
The Pikes Peak Workforce Center offers several
innovative programs to help you explore careers in high-demand occupations that
will travel with you to your next assignment. Networking groups allow
you to share job tips with peers in your industry and onsite hiring sessions let
you interview on the spot!
Eligibility Requirements:
-- Military
spouses must have been gainfully employed prior to transfer to the Pikes Peak
Region; and must now be unemployed due to the military member's
transfer.
-- Civil Service personnel must have lost your job due to a
reduction in force, through no fault of your own.
This program is
provided by a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor.
