Medical care services at Fort Campbell Blanchfield Army Community
Hospital (BACH) are offered on a priority basis. First priority of care is to
active duty military. Second priority is to family members of active duty, with
retired military and family members of retired military following in the
eligibility chain.
APPOINTMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS FOR PRIMARY CARE
SERVICES:
Beneficiaries with an emergency should either call 911 or go to
the nearest emergency room to be seen. Same day appointments and
routine appointments, including pap smears, school/sport physicals, and
well-baby physical appointments can be made by calling (931) 431-4677 (HOSP,
(270) 798-4677 (HOSP), or toll free at 1-866-524-4677 (HOSP), Monday through
Friday, beginning at 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM. Primary care appointments
can also be made on-line under the TRICARE website. Appointment cancellations
can be made at these same numbers. It is recommended that
appointments be cancelled as soon as it is known that the appointment cannot be
kept in order to book the appointment for someone else. School and
sports physical appointments are provided all year long for beneficiaries who
are TRICARE Prime at BACH. Family members not enrolled in TRICARE
Prime at BACH will receive such services from the child's designated network
provider. Fort Campbell School System requires a physical for
preschool, students entering school for the first time, students transferring,
from another school, all students entering sixth grade, and sports
physicals. Kentucky/Christian County School System requires a
physical for students entering Christian County schools for the first time,
those entering kindergarten, all students entering sixth grade, and students who
will play sports. Clarksville/Montgomery County School System requires a
physical for students entering school for the first time, transferring into the
system, or students who will play sports. If beneficiaries need to
speak with a health advice nurse, they can call (931)-431-4677 and follow the
prompts to speak with the advice nurse in the clinic to which
they are
enrolled.
TRICARE SERVICE CENTER
The
TRICARE Service Center is located in Building 2525 at 22nd and Indiana
Streets. Hours of operation are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. TRICARE
customer service phone number is 1-877-TRICARE (874-2273) or beneficiaries can
go to the Health Net web site to get information on enrollments, referrals and
authorizations, claims, behavioral health, TRICARE benefits, network provider
information, and TRICARE forms and program
materials. Services
available at the TRICARE Service Center include
enrollment, PCM changes,
claims assistance, benefit counseling, assistance in finding a network provider,
and referral and authorization assistance. Individuals wanting to
enroll in TRICARE Prime can either go to the TRICARE Service Center or call the
1-877-TRICARE number for information on the enrollment application
process. Active duty service members are automatically covered under
TRICARE Prime but are still required to complete an enrollment
form. There is no enrollment fee for active duty or active duty
family members. Retirees and their family members pay an annual
enrollment fee of $230 for an individual or $460 for a
family. Payments can be made monthly, quarterly, or
annually. If paying monthly, an allotment or electronic fund transfer
is required.
Dental care services are available to active duty military
only on the installation. Only emergency dental care is offered to other
eligible individuals.
Dental care for family members are provided by
local dental provider under the TRICARE United Concordia Military Dental
Insurance. Local providers list and registration can be access online by

All family members must be enrolled in TRICARE
United Concordia Dental Insurance. Refer to Health Benefits/TRICARE under
community information for other information.
FORT CAMPBELL BLANCHFIELD
ARMY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL
Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) is one of
the largest and best-equipped hospitals in the area. BACH encompasses 480,000
square feet and has a 241 bed inpatient capacity. A caring staff of 1,200
military and civilian personnel provide quality care to more than 79,000
patients.
Active duty service members receive care at the Centralized
Troop Medical Clinic, located on Desert Storm, Bldg 5979. TMC patients will
obtain referral to on of the specialty Clinics located at BACH.
The
primary care clinics Red, White and Blue provide a family practice
atmosphere. Family members are assigned to one of these clinics based
on the sponsor's unit. Same day appointments is are made daily for acute-minor
illnesses. Routine appointment for pap smears, well-baby physicals, follow-up,
prenatal care, etc., is also available.
The CENTRAL TRIAGE CLINIC serves
as an entry point for all incoming non-scheduled appointment patient. Hours are
0800-2000 Mon-Fri. Patients are screened for appropriate referrals to other
clinics in the hospital. Patients may be seen in the Emergency Center, Urgent
Eagle Clinic or Night Clinic depending on a referral from Central Triage.

The Outpatient Pharmacy fills new prescriptions; a Refill
Pharmacy at the Post Exchange also offers a service where refill requests can be
phoned in using the Automated Refill System prior to being picked up at the
Refill Pharmacy. Phone in refills will be ready for pick-up two days
later. To phone in your refills, have your prescription number and
sponsor's social security number within reach and dial
(270)798-3784.

facilities within the community. You must first obtained a referral from your
doctor at Blanchfield Hospital or TRICARE prior to making an appointment off
post.
