activities.
RECREATION
The GUENNETTE ARTS AND CRAFT CENTERS provide a
full range of creative options for all levels of artists and craftsmen in the
Fort Campbell community. CERAMIC POURING CLASS & WOODCRAFT CLASS is also
available.
The DESTINY PARKS and PAVILIONS provide several pavilions for your
group parties and outdoor get-togethers.
DALE WAYRYNEN RECREATION CENTER
offers opportunities to jam with your musical friends, watch the latest video,
participate in special events, or find a "home away from home." The recreation
center also serves as the home of the Army's award-winning Better Opportunities
for Single Soldiers Program.
The RIDING STABLES - Eagle Creek Range provide
open and guided trail rides (on weekends), ponies, and seasonal hayrides for
adults and children.
DON F PRATT MUSEUM offers both interior and exterior
exhibits of the 101st history. Free admissions and free movies.
The HOOPER
BOWLING CENTER provides winter & summer leagues a variety of amusement
machines and a snack bar.
The WILSON MOVIE THEATER provides discount movie
ticket for soldiers and their families.
SPORTS
Six physical fitness
centers located throughout the post. Three pools offer additional
opportunities for aquatics exercise. Estep Wellness Center also offers a
centralized aerobics program, personal trainers, as well as a Jacuzzi and Steam
Room.
On the playing fields, a variety of team and individual sports are
offered though a comprehensive unit-level intramural program.
Cole Park Golf
Course (19th hole) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky is one of the finest golfing
facilities in all of the Army.
Hunting & Fishing, Paintball Games, Skeet
Range and archery is also available on the
installation.
RELIGIOUS
Twenty-three Worship Services are conducted
each weekend along with a full schedule of Religious Education
Programs. There are also a full complement of Bible Studies, Prayer
Breakfasts/Luncheons, and special religious observances.
Unit Retreats,
Family Life Retreats, Spiritual Adventure Training, and Spiritual Enrichment
Programs are designed to meet the various religious needs of Fort Campbell's
personnel. The Youth Programs are vital to this post and give the
young people a chance to enhance their spiritual lives as well.
The Chaplain
Family Life Center operates from a theological base and focuses on ministry to
Army families with particular emphasis on wellness. The mission of
the Center is four-fold:
1. Promote family wellness by providing
pastorally-oriented family enrichment programs.
2. Provide
pastorally-oriented Family Life programs that focus on the preventive aspect of
family wellness.
3. Provide specific interventions to assist Army
families copy with stresses of military and family life through pastoral care
and counseling; and
4. Provide training in Family Life
ministry.
A partial listing of the activities offered at the Center include:
marriage enrichment workshops, parenting workshops, family wellness workshops, a
support group to support stressed family members, and workshops aimed at the
reduction of stress and enhancement of personal growth.
The PWOC Protestant
Women of the Chapels offers MOPS for Mothers of Preschoolers, a dynamic program
designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten.
MOPS is a relevant and caring network, making moms a better moms through trusted
resources and relationships. Meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month
from 0915-1145 at Memorial Chapel. Indiana and 54th Street. Free childcare for
