Spouse preference for Appropriated Fund Positions is afforded only through the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.  In order to be eligible, the spouse must be already serving on an expected appointment overseas or on a career or career-conditional appointment at the time the PCS orders are issued.  The spouse must be placed on leave without pay (lwop) or be separated from their appointment due to PCS in order to receive spouse preference priority placement consideration.  Registration for departing spouses may be accomplished 30 days prior to sponsor's reporting date at the new duty location.  An appointment for registration may be obtained by calling the Civilian Personnel Office at (915) 568-6232.

Job announcements and further information for Approriated and Non Appropriate funds can be obtained Tuesday and Thursday from 1100-1300 in Building 505.  The Job Info line is (915) 568-2596. Touch-screen computers with Internet access are available in Building 505 to permit access to job announcements throughout the working day.

See the Government Employment Subject Area below for additional information on federal, state and county employment.
