All service members seeking off post housing are required to
register with the CHRRS Office (Community Homefinding Relocation Referral
Services) in Building 2621 Soldiers' Plaza, prior to entering into any lease
agreement. If you choose to live off post, there is ample housing
available. There are one, two, and three bedroom apartments,
duplexes, and townhouses for rent. There are also several houses
available. Rent varies from area to area. There is a good selection
of real estate and property management companies in the area to help with your
rental needs.
Short term rentals (less than six months) are extremely
difficult to find.
If pets are allowed in rental property, expect to pay
a pet deposit, which may or may not be refundable, if no damage is done, or a
pet fee(for the privilege of having a pet on the property) which may not be
refundable. Prices range from between $100 to
$200. Apartments have a weight restriction on size of pets no more
than 20 pounds.
