To check status of your POV, have your order number (located in
the "Stow Location" block on your DD Form 788) and your last name, then go to
the website above.

Atlanta.POV Processing Center for Fort Benning is Atlanta. Most
soldiers make arrangements to fly out of Atlanta airport and just drop their
vehicle off on their way out. The Transportation Office will give you
a booklet called "Shipping your POV" that will tell you exactly what you have to
do to prepare your car for shipment. The government will pay to ship
one vehicle overseas. If you take a second vehicle, you must pay the
shipping costs.
