MILITARY: All incoming personnel are required to sign-in at Installation Replacement, Building 2622, Soldiers' Plaza telephone 706-545-7510 or 706-405-9991, for in-processing. Operation hours are Mon-Fri, 0800-1700, closed on weekends, Federal and training holidays.

CIVILIANS: Incoming Department of the Army Civilians should report to the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center located in Bldg. 6, Room 132, Meloy Dr at 8:30 a.m. on the first day of their employment at Fort Benning.  Be sure to have your most recent SF50 and any other permanent personnel records when you report for in-processing.

IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS: Everyone assigned to Fort Benning should carry assignment orders, leave forms, military/DoD identification and receipts for PCS expenses.

If you are assigned to the 5th Ranger Training Battalion (RTB), Camp Merrill, Dahlonega, Georgia, you must in process at the Installation Replacement at Fort Benning, Georgia prior to reporting to Camp Merrill.  Installation Replacement will give you a new set of orders authorizing five days to in-process 5th RTB, pick up your CIF issue, sew patches on uniforms, and obtain your DDC card, etc.  The 5th RTB Staff Duty Officer may be reached by calling 706-864-3327/3367.

INITIAL ENTRY TRAINING (IET) SOLDIERS:  If you are coming to Fort Benning for basic training or advanced individual training (AIT), you will be taken to the Reception Station, Sand Hill, Building 3020, where you will process through several stations, prior to being assigned to your unit.  If you are married and are coming here for basic or AIT, remember this is a temporary stopping place.  Once you have completed training, you will receive orders and most likely leave Fort Benning.  It is not a good idea for your family to move here with you.  You will not have the time to visit your family and may be unable to even speak with them.  Until you are ready to make your first move after completion of training, it is best not to uproot the family.  You will have a great deal on your mind, with a full schedule, and you need to focus on training.

If you are coming here in TDY status, you will report directly to the unit stated on your orders.  The unit will schedule all necessary appointments.

If you get married before you PCS, you must inform your commander and follow the procedures exactly as you are given.  If you do not follow proper procedures, the military will not pay for travel and housing for your spouse
