   NEW PARENT SUPPORT

The New Parent Support Team at Naval Station Everett is a no cost, voluntary participant program for expectant and new military parents. The program provides information on infant and child development and assists families with building parenting skills.

New Parent Support offers Parenting Class, Support Groups, Child Development Information, Newsletter, Resource Library, Home Visits, and Community Resource and Referral Information.  The Everett Branch Medical Clinic provides Child Birth Classes (call (425)304-4068 for more information on Child Birth Classes.

New Parent Support consists of a home visitor whom can be reached at the Family Service Center located within the Family Support Complex, Smokey Point, Building 13910.  Phone numbers:  Comm. (425) 304-3367, 1(888) 463-6697, DSN 727-3367.

The Navy & Marine Corps Relief Society provides layettes, given 3 months prior and up to 1 month after birth (see NMCRS under SUPPORT SERVICES, sub-heading EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE)  NOTE: you don't have to be in an emergency status to request a layette.
