All privately owned vehicles driven on Elmendorf AFB must be
properly registered on base. Registration is done at the People
Center, 8517 20th St, Room B-40 (Basement level. Services provided
0730-1500 M-F, 552-5988.
Most vehicles will require a
mandatory emission inspect required by the Municipality of
Anchorage. See the narrative under the topic Location-Community-Motor
Vehicles for detailed information on this inspection.
You will be
required to provide the following documents to register the vehicle:

Current registration
- Proof of insurance (See topic under
Location-Community-Motor Vehicles for mandatory insurance requirements)

Current driver's license
- Military ID
- Emission certificate (If
you intend to keep the vehicle registered out of state)
