Personnel who may be relocating to Elmendorf AFB with an
exceptional family member should contact the Special Needs Identification and
Assignment Coordination Process (formerly EFMP) at their local Family Advocacy
Clinic to insure special education needs can be accomodated here at Elmendorf
AFB or in our community.
Elmendorf AFB Family Advocacy handles all
special needs family members. They do not have a current internet

Elmendorf AFB is the host site for Mt Illiamna
Special Education Pre-school. The only pre-school program the
Anchorage School District offers is through the Special Education Department.
The Preschool Special Education Program provides services for children ages 3 to
5 who experience developmental delays or other disabilities. Children can be
referred for evaluation by parents and various community agencies at age 2 years
6 months to ensure services by age 3. Children may continue in the program until
