Many volunteer opportunities are available through the Eielson
Chapel Volunteer Program. Positions are available for volunteers on
the base, in the community, mentoring and many more. In some
instances free childcare may be available for volunteers on base.
Volunteer hours are maintained in a database which qualifies you for the
monthly Volunteer Incentive Program and can be used as a source of reference for
resumes. If you are looking for work, volunteering is a great way to get your
foot in the door and keep skills up to date. If you are looking to get out of
the house and combat cabin fever, volunteering is a great way to keep busy, meet
new friends, and feel good about the positive things you are doing for
Eielson.
