Supporting the Relocation, Travel, and Lifestyle Needs of the American Military Family

Eielson AFB has 1491 family housing units; however, the number of available units will fluctuate during the next few years. An extensive renovation program will decrease our inventory while increasing square footage and modernizing units to accommodate present-day lifestyles.

Housing is allocated equally to each grade category, including junior enlisted, and each unit is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, washer, dryer, dishwasher and garbage disposal. Waiting time depends on rank, date of rank, length of service, family composition and reporting date.

Don't forget to go to the Housing Office at your current location and fill out an advance housing application as soon as you have a hard copy of your orders!

Just a reminder, no more than two pets per family are allowed in base housing. Small, caged pets, such as hamsters, are an exception to the two pet limit. Dormitory residents can have pets too - fish, caged birds, hamsters or gerbils.

The following is a breakdown of the current number of houses available on Eielson according to grade. We no longer break out Junior NCO and Junior Enlisted (all are Junior Enlisted E1-E6).
